BOARD REPORT
November 18, 2020 The meeting was called to order by President Teale at 3:01 PM PST. Executive Vice-President Harper delivered the Opening invocation. The agenda had a lot of old business which needed taken care of. There were a lot of meeting minutes which needed action. Director Branham motioned to approve the October 24, 2020 Board Meeting Minutes. A second was given by Director Hawkins. There was no further discussion and the motion passed. Education Committee Chairman Gulcynski motioned to approve the October 25, 2020 Board Meeting Minutes. A second was given by Director Urban. There was no further discussion and the motion passed. Treasurer Lepschat motioned to approve the October 27, 2020 Board Meeting
Minutes. A second was given by Conference Committee Chairman Kovarik. There was no further discussion and the motion passed. Director Branhammotioned to approve the October 30, 2020 Board Meeting Minutes. A second was given by Education Committee Chairman Gulcynski. There was no further discussion and the motion passed. Treasurer Lepschat presented the treasurer’s report. October operations were conducted at a slight loss. Treasurer Lepschat predicted that operations would be at a slight negative in November and December as well. However, the organization is on track for a good year financially. Executive Director Barron presented an update on HQ operations. Staffing is adequate to perform the duties of the organization. However, additional staff may be needed as the economy begins rebounding from the COVID-19 situation.
Welcome to the Board Report, a wrap-up of the activities of the RETA National Board of Directors. The new year has started with a flurry of activity from, not only the National Board, but the National Committees as well. The meeting was attended by the entire Executive Committee, 9 Directors, the Executive Director, RETA HQ office Manager, and Certification Committee Chairperson Pyle.
