In addition to a written report, President Teale included the following Certification Committee updates: o Marathon session last week going through test validation. o ANSI application is complete. o Next project will be reviewing PDH tables Education Committee Report • Voice Over PowerPoint (VOPP): VOPP’s are progressing as expected with support from Dan D. and Vince at RETA HQ. o Board Support Needed: Volunteers are always welcome. • Video: RETA HQ are leading the production efforts. Ammonia Awareness Script is ready for Board Review. Next on the list is the Oil Draining Video. o Board Support Needed: When the Script for the Ammonia Awareness Video is sent to the Board for review, please review as soon as possible. • Compliance Book: Brian Chapin & committee have asked for volunteers to review the materials that have been compiled to-date. Jordan Reece, Bill Ellena & Rhonda Schmidt have all volunteered to review the material. So far Rhonda has begun reviewing the Chairman Gulcynski presented the Education Committee Report.
o Reviewed test activity. o Reviewed 2020 candidate comments and inquiries. Nothing really new. o Reviewed cheating analysis. ANSI Standards require documentation of whether candidates are cheating on RETA tests. Statistical analysis evaluates possible cooperation (or collusion) between candidates by comparing their responses to questions they answered incorrectly. RETA limits this opportunity because answers to each question appear in random order for every candidate. o CARO Item Performance Review. CertComm conducted its annual due diligence review of CARO performance data for CARO Form G1 (January-June, 2020) and CARO Form H1 (July – December 15, 2020). Performance data and candidate comments for 31 CARO questions were reviewed. This activity was deferred to December because the RETA Annual Conference was held virtually in 2020. o CIRO Item Performance Review. CertComm conducted its annual due diligence review of CIRO performance data for CIRO Form N1 (January-June, 2020) and CIRO Form R1 (July – October 2020). Performance data and candidate comments for 53 CIRO questions were reviewed. This activity was deferred to December because the RETA Annual Conference was held virtually in 2020.

Bill needed his company IT department to allow him to use Google Docs. • Controls: Vince at RETA HQ cleaned up the original Controls Book that had 50 year old material in it and shared the edits with the Controls Team. The Controls Team is meeting regularly. • Industrial Refrigeration III 5 Year Review: Don T. has agreed to lead this effort and work will begin in early 2021. Vince will be actively involved and will be in control of the document which will be stored on RETA HQ Servers.
